Iowa Collects Asian Art,  an exhibition showing the depth and breadth of Asian art in Iowa's museums and private collections, presented at Blanden Memorial Art Museum and the University of Iowa Museum of Art, Iowa City, Iowa, Fall 1990 - Spring 1991.  Illustrated catalogue accompanied exhibition.

 

Year of the Horse, an exhibition featuring the horse in art, shown during the Chinese calendar Year of the Horse, year 4688.  Exhibit focused on the   horse as subject matter in art from 12 cultures and utilizing more than 14 different media.  Shown at Blanden Memorial Art Museum, Fort Dodge, Iowa, April 29 through May 27, 1990.

 

Born in Fort Dodge:  Five Artists,  an exhibition featuring the artwork of five important artists, all of whom were born in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  Focus on the work of Daniel Rhodes, Tom Savage, Edna Hogan, Corita Kent, and James Butler.  Shown at Blanden Memorial Art Museum, Fort Dodge, Iowa, April 1 - 29, 1990.

 

Chinese Dailies,   an exhibition of objects from daily life in China, Neolithic times to 1989, including objects used in daily life from the emperors on down to the peasants.  Exhibited at Blanden Memorial Art        Museum, April 30 - June 18, 1989.

 

Collecting Art:  A Personal View  (The Charles P. Helsell Collection), an exhibition organized to highlight one Blanden donor's collection of prints, drawings, photographs, and paintings.  Exhibited at the Blanden Memorial Art Museum, Fort Dodge, Iowa, August  28 - September 25, 1988.

 

Color Fictions:  The First Decade of Daniel Smith Paintings,  a prospective rather than retrospective exhibition of paintings by Iowan Daniel Smith. Exhibited at the Blanden Memorial Art Museum, Fort Dodge, Iowa, November 6 - December 11, 1988.
